“No! You can’t! Don’t do it!” The normally composed Hyuuga screamed, struggling against the rough hands that held him in place. His white eyes opened wide in horror, unable to look away. “Hinata-sama! No! Not for me! Not for us!”
His raven-haired cousin stopped walking, turned to look at her struggling cousin with a sad smile on her lips. “Yes, for you, Neji-niisan. For all of you, I am willing to do everything. For our clan, I am willing to change.”
“No, Hinata-sama,” Neji sobbed shamelessly, uncaring that inside the dark, oppressing room, there are Elders seeing this one moment of weakness. “Not you! Please, stop this – please, go back. There is no reason for this!”
Suddenly, she was in front of him, and the rough hands that held him back disappeared – but all that mattered was her cool hands cradling his face, wiping away the tears that streamed endlessly down his cheeks. He slid to his knees, grasping the Heiress’ white kimono hem, his voice garbled and yet imploring. “Hinata-sama, there is no need to do this – no need to sacrifice like this!”
Hinata merely stroked her thumb on Neji’s exposed forehead, tracing the patterns of his seal. “No, Neji-niisan. There is a need to make a sacrifice – a need that would be met through me.” She bent down, kissed her cousin’s wet cheek, whispering, “Be happy. Be happy and fly for me, Neji-oniisan.”
That was the last time she called him brother.
And the last time she was called Heir.
Ahehe. Wala lang. Something I'm writing on the side. And damn! I miss watching Hell Teacher Nube. Bah poopies.
